Siksika Nation High School offers grade 7 through 9.

Junior High School Courses

Core subjects: Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, Science, PLS, Physical Education, Siksika Language.

Option Classes: Home Economics, Info Pro, Cultural Arts, Drama, Art, Music.

Each grade level in split into multiple classes to help keep class sizes low, allowing for more one on one assistance. Individualized program plans are developed for those learners who are gifted or require extra assistance.

Daily menu signs are posted at the beginning of all meal lines. Items offered as a part of lunch are listed within the grain, protein, milk, fruit and vegetable spaces on the menu board.

Curriculum

Siksika Nation historians, elder’s and knowledge keepers, teachers and volunteers work together to educate our students in a variety of programs that accommodate all styles of learning. The curriculum includes courses from Alberta Education and the Siksika Language and Culture Program which is an integral part of our learning experience at SBE.

Why us?

All junior high classes are taught predominantly by teachers and educational assistants within their own classrooms. The exceptions are ICT, library and music, all of which are taught by specialist staff.
