In Alberta, there are several ways the province recognizes high school completion:
- a High School Diploma
- a Certificate of High School Achievement
- or transition to a post-secondary institution or apprenticeship in Alberta
In SBE schools, teachers, school administrators, and councillors support students in developing a unique learning plan that is based on their learning style, interests, goals and career aspirations.
Alberta also recognizes the achievement of high school students with exceptional needs and significant cognitive challenges with a Certificate of School Completion.
